Mineral Lake Lions: Mineral Lake Fishing Derby
Get ready for a weekend full of big catches, big prizes, and big fun! The 32nd Annual Mineral Lake Fishing Derby is back and better than ever — a cherished tradition with even more excitement and over $5,000 in prizes up for grabs!

- Derby Tickets: $10 each – must be purchased before casting your line
- Boat Registration: All boats must sign an attestation before hitting the water
- Register Early! No casting or launching before you’re officially signed up

🔔 Derby Start: 12:01 AM on Saturday, April 26 – kicked off by the town fire alarm
⚖️ Weigh-Ins: Start at 7:00 AM Saturday and close at 11:00 AM Sunday

Fishing Derby Sportsman Show

Make your Fishing Derby weekend one to remember with the brand-new Fishing Derby Sportsman Show! Held at scenic Mineral Lake—home of the legendary 10lb trout—this event brings together outdoor adventure, local vendors, gear, and tasty food to round out your derby experience.

Bring the kids out to Elbe Market for a fun-filled challenge—can you find the needle in the haystack? Those with a sharp eye (and a little luck) will walk away with a sweet surprise!
The Old Calico Woodshop: Meet the Carver

Stop by The Old Calico Woodshop to explore the one-of-a-kind wood carvings of longtime Elbe artisan, Dave Franz. Weather permitting, you might even catch Dave in action as he brings his next masterpiece to life—right before your eyes!
Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad: Steam Train Excursions
April 26–27 | 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM
Hop aboard the historic Polson No. 70 for a scenic steam train ride through Mt. Rainier’s foothills. Choose between two routes—Mineral or the new New Reliance route—and enjoy family-friendly or 21+ lounge car options. Each ride lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes.

EZ Times Horse Rides: Pony Rides

Bring the kids by for a fun pony ride at EZ Times! Take a few laps around the round pen on a gentle, well-trained steed. Donations are accepted.
Wellsprings Resort and Spa: Forest Bathing
